Because after a long hard week… you deserve it
Once in a while, it feels great to skip Friday happy hour and go straight home for a much needed evening of rest and relaxation or (as I like to call it) “Me Time”. This is a great opportunity to put the work week behind you and be extra kind to yourself by indulging in some pampering. You may enjoy reading a book or painting your nails to wind down but here at OFRA Cosmetics, skincare is our top priority. Most of us have coveted products hidden away in the back of our medicine cabinets and there’s no time like the present to enjoy them. I recently had the opportunity to try four of our skincare products that are bound to enhance your pampering routine any day of the week.
Pomegranate Sugar Scrub
The Pomegranate Sugar Scrub is a highly-concentrated antioxidant body scrub containing pomegranate seed oil to renew and macadamia seed oil to moisturize and smooth. This scrub not only smells delightful but it truly brightened up my skin. As someone with sensitive skin, I usually avoid scrubbing it with anything but this was super gentle. The description on the website says that it’s used to “remove dead skin cells from the body without stripping skin of its moisture” and I found this to be very accurate. I actually did a double-take in the mirror noticing how renewed and youthful my skin looked. One of the nicest perks is how pleasant it left me smelling with its infused Vanilla, Neroli, Orange, and Pomegranate oils. Definitely a new staple in my weekly skincare routine!
Here’s a close up!
Soft Pearl Peel
I don’t have enough time to tell you how cool the Soft Pearl Peel is but here it goes. This may seem like your average mask in a jar but upon opening it, I assure you that the content’s beauty will blow you away. Seriously, my pictures don’t do it justice. In person, the formula looks like a silvery magic potion that’s about to do something truly divine to your skin. It’s one of those products that you cannot wait to play with so I immediately applied it to my face. The product is made with the healing ingredients Calendula and Chamomile and although it does have a slight fragrance, it never bothered my ultra-sensitive skin. The luminous pearl finish translates onto your skin so you’ll probably end up taking a Snapchat selfie (I know I did). It can be used as a gentle exfoliating treatment on wet skin or a mask on dry skin. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then remove with warm water. OFRA recommends following up with the Moisture Repair Mask for dry skin, Whitening Mask for combination skin and Vitamin A & C Peel Off Mask for combination/oily skin.
Here’s a peek inside!
Foot Relief Cream
I’ll admit my feet are the one area of my body I usually forget to give some TLC. Applying a Foot Relief Cream at bedtime makes all the difference. Infused with Peppermint and Rosemary oil, this product is designed to heal tired feet and increase circulation. Additionally, the vegetable fatty acids smooth away rough callused feet. I forgot how nice it is to lather up your feet and slide them into your most comfortable pair of socks. When you wake up, they’re baby soft and ready for your summer sandals. I definitely need to start implementing this step into my nightly bedtime routine.
Icy Herbal: Dramatic Muscle Pain Relief Cream
Last but definitely not least, the Icy Herbal Cream is perfect for spot treating any muscle aches and pains for additional relaxation. Peppermint, Menthol and Arnica ingredients will relieve pain once thoroughly absorbed into the skin. We all have unique aches and pains. Maybe you work on your feet all day or your hands cramp up from constant typing. Could be you’re still recovering from an accident or hurt yourself exercising. Wherever your pain is, this cream will provide immediate and concentrated relief. Personally, I apply it to relaxation pressure points on my wrists, heels and backs of my ears. You better believe after this last step, I’m ready for a peaceful slumber.
