Monochromatic Makeup: Spring Pastels
Posted on 14 April 2017
Monochromatic makeup has been appearing everywhere lately, particularly on the red carpet! The beauty of this trend is selecting one color for your eyes, cheeks and lips that also tends to match your outfit. With the wave of a brush and minimal effort, you too can create a trendy monochromatic makeup look! We are particularly loving the following spring-inspired pastel shades that are currently the rage among celebrity makeup artists.
Peach is turning out to be the color of the summer and Khloe Kardashian is rocking it. Khloe’s warm smokey eye is accented with peach shadow beneath the lower lash line.
Apply French Mocha, Buttercup, Truffle, Country Road and Plastic eyeshadows for a similar result. The Professional Blush Palette is a wonderful option for warm monochromatic makeup looks because the formula can be applied on both cheeks and eyes. Our favorite warm-toned blushes include Tawny Peach , Charm and Raisin!
Sophia Bush perfectly matches her eye look to her fuchsia pink dress and balances it with soft pink cheeks and lips.
Feeling extra bold? Go in with our Cheeky Cheekbone Enhancer to highlight. This intense loose powder highlight has an iridescent pink sheen that will make your entire look pop!
Supermodel Adriana Lima looks radiant wearing a neutral monochromatic look with a soft contour and glowing skin!
The OFRA Signature Shadow Set in Radiant Eyes is the perfect little palette to use for a shimmering, bronzed eye look. The On The Glow Palette includes a variety of highlighters and bronzers to accomplish a sun-kissed glow. Use this palette to warm and accentuate the high points of your face. Complete the look with a nude long lasting lippie such as Dubai, a sand-stone nude or Sao Paulo, a light nude with a hint of peach.
Hailee Seinfeld looked ultra-feminine at the Golden Globes this year flaunting this monochromatic lilac look. The sheer wash of lilac matches perfectly with her sheer gown. The rest of the face is accented with a similar tone and topped with a glossy lip.
TIP: If you have brown eyes, purples and lilacs accentuate your eye color!
If you’re feeling extra bold and want to step out of your comfort zone, shades of yellow, blue, and green could make for interesting festival looks! Try it out and get creative!
